Introduction to Data Science

Catalog description

Three lecture. Graphical representation of data; categorical and continuous data. Bivariate and multivariate relationships with geographical and temporal considerations. Students will be able to: create graphics exploring relationships between covariates utilizing a variety of geometric representations; assess the effectiveness of different data representations; consider reasons behind ways to explore geographical and temporal relationships; construct interactive graphics to facilitate inquiry. Prerequisite(s): MAT 142 / MAT 140 or higher level course
