3 0 This course explores the design, delivery, and management of recreation programs, events, retail operations, and ancillary services in the outdoor hospitality industry. Students will examine guest experience expectations, revenue generation strategies, and operational best practices for campgrounds, RV parks, and outdoor resorts. Emphasis is placed on innovative programming, safety and accessibility, effective merchandising, and leveraging amenities to enhance guest satisfaction and build brand loyalty. Students will be able to: Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. Describe the components of recreation and event programming in outdoor hospitality environments. 2. Design a guest-focused activity or event plan that aligns with site capabilities and safety standards. 3. Evaluate retail operations and ancillary services for feasibility, profitability, and guest value. 4. Apply merchandising and inventory management concepts to a campground retail environment. 5.
