Electrical Engineering I

Catalog description

Three lecture. Three lab. Introduces electrical engineering including DC and AC circuit analysis, operational amplifiers, transducers, transformers, and AC power. Simulation of simple circuits using circuit analysis software. Students will be able to: apply fundamental electrical circuit concepts for voltage, charge, current, power and energy and their interrelationships and units to engineering solutions ; solve problems associated with dc and ac linear circuits including independent and dependent sources, resistors, capacitors, inductors, and operational amplifiers; utilize circuit analysis and design concepts; develop and construct circuits using circuit analysis software. Pre/Corequisite(s): MAT 220.
