3 3 This introductory course in Computer-Aided Drafting will acquaint students with the fundamentals, concepts and techniques used in computer-aided design. Topics include electronic file management, freehand sketching, dimensioning, and reproduction of drawings. This course is designed for individuals with no computer and/or drafting experience. Students will be able to: Describe the methods and procedures used in computer-aided drafting; demonstrate the use of electronic file management; demonstrate techniques and procedures of hard copy production; demonstrate drawing and visualization techniques; discuss and incorporate industry standards into assigned drawings; demonstrate the use of scales; demonstrate the use of dimensioning. Grading Option: Letter Grade w/ Sat/Unsat
