Catalog description
Four lecture. Three lab. Continuation of Chemistry 151 with an emphasis on kinetics and equilibrium, nuclear, aqueous solution, and electrochemistry. Students will be able to: apply the scientific method to the study of chemistry; communicate laboratory results in written and oral form; manipulate and use the metric system for measurements and analysis; perform quantitative calculations including: equilibrium constants; half-life and mass-energy; Redox equations ; various laws and principles; demonstrate an understanding of reaction kinetics, rate laws and reaction rates; solve problems requiring applications of abstract concepts and algebraic manipulation; and utilize basic laboratory techniques. Prerequisite(s): CHM 151 . General Education: Natural Sciences
