Three lecture. Basic investment strategies. The study of stocks and bonds, mutual funds, investment principles, and strategies to evaluate potential investments. Students will be able to: demonstrate investment problem solving techniques; demonstrate an understanding of investment terminology; explain different investment approaches for changing economic conditions; explain the structure of the different stock markets; explain the different tools available to research and rate different investments; demonstrate investment strategies for tax and retirement planning; establish a diverse investment portfolio; build a personal investment plan.
