Catalog description

Four lecture. Further emphasis on American Sign Language vocabulary, grammar, receptive, and expressive technique development. Students will be able to: express basic needs in American Sign Language; describe different attributes of people; identify described attributes of people; create statements or questions in American Sign Language within the scope of limited language experience; initiate and respond in ASL to uncomplicated, basic communicative tasks and social situations; identify the four parameters of ASL; and describe basic cross-cultural communication norms of ASL. Prerequisite(s): ASL 101 General Education: Written and Oral Communication: Communication and Languages Grading Option: May be taken for S/U credit.
