Catalog description
One lecture. Five lab. Introduction to watercolor painting techniques and materials. Students will be able to: demonstrate knowledge of the different types of brushes, papers, and watercolor pigments through their use; demonstrate the basic washes: wet-into-wet, wet-into-dry, flat, graded, wash ‘n line; demonstrate pull-off, resist, and scratch techniques; and demonstrate their knowledge of basic color theory as it applies to watercolor painting. Prerequisite(s): ART 110 or consent from instructor. Grading Option: May be taken for S/U credit.
