Catalog description

One Lecture. Five Lab. An introductory course in two-dimensional digital design and illustration using industry standard software. Students will be able to: use graphic design and illustration software to create original artwork; output their artwork to a variety of vector and raster file formats; demonstrate the application of design principles in their projects; demonstrate basic principles of page layout and composition; demonstrate basic principles of typography. Grading Option: May be taken for S/U credit.
