Catalog description

Three lecture. Organization and jurisdiction of local, state, and federal law enforcement, judicial and corrections systems, terminology, and constitutional limitations of the system. Students will be able to: demonstrate problem solving techniques; demonstrate instruction interpretation; demonstrate an understanding of criminal justice vocabulary; explain the structure of the American criminal justice system(s); describe how the AJS system(s) is(are) financed for growth and development throughout the United States; describe the management and organizational processes which allow AJS systems to be successful; describe the impact which juvenile justice and corrections has had on the American public.
