Introduction to Administration of Justice

Catalog description

Three lecture. Organization and jurisdiction of local, state, and federal law enforcement, judicial and corrections systems, terminology, and constitutional limitations of the system. Students will be able to: demonstrate problem solving techniques; demonstrate instruction interpretation; demonstrate an understanding of criminal justice vocabulary; explain the structure of the American criminal justice system(s); describe how the AJS system(s) is(are) financed for growth and development throughout the United States; describe the management and organizational processes which allow AJS systems to be successful; describe the impact which juvenile justice and corrections has had on the American public. General Education: Social and Behavioral Sciences
