Catalog description

One lecture. This is a survey course designed to introduce students to the Department of the Air Force (DAF) and provides an overview of the basic characteristics, missions, communications and organization of the Air and Space Forces. Students will be able to: demonstrate air force core values; demonstrate an understanding of career opportunities, military pay and other benefits of commissioned officers in the usaf; define the organizational structure (majcoms) of the air force; define the principles of war and the role of the air force in war; identify the key elements of the process of communication, including within social media; identify the basic principles of leadership; explain ethical decision-making concepts; demonstrate effective briefing techniques. Prerequisite(s): AES 101. Corequisite(s): Students interested in a future career in the Air Force have co-requisites: AES 112 and AES 250 .
