Catalog description

Three lecture. Electronic data processing systems as they apply to accounting systems. Provides hands-on experience with microcomputer hardware and software packages. Includes accounting cycle transaction and management decision-making applications. Students will be able to: demonstrate problem-solving techniques; interpret computer instructions; analyze general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, inventory, and payroll; analyze financial statements; solve special problems dealing in cost reporting and determination; calculate depreciation.
