Students will integrate pathophysiology and clinical findings to formulate field impressions and initiate appropriate interventions at the paramedic level based on current EMS protocols and evidence- based practices. This course is designed in accordance with the 2021 National EMS Education Standards and is further guided by both the National EMS Scope of Practice Model and the Georgia Scope of Practice. These scope documents define the clinical and operational expectations for paramedic-level practice and shape the depth and breadth of learning objectives.
