Catalog description

They also acquire an overview of distinct translation practices and specific procedures regarding medical professions. Students learn cultural concepts and circumstances that influence the meaning of a translation or interpretation performance. This course is taught in Spanish, and all outcomes and evaluations are done in the target language. Students are required to practice a wide array of skills ranging from writing strategies to oral presentations of substantive cultural issues which hone their ability to translate texts within professional fields and enhance their ability to meet their current and future global goals.
