Catalog description

This course explores the way in which historical events, such as the Spanish Civil War, Francoism, the beginning of the democracy, and other political and sociological conflicts have shaped the life of multicultural communities that coexist in today’s Spain. These topics and the representation of these communities are explored through visual materials like film, documentary, photography, comic, graphic novel, newspapers, fanzines, and more. By exploring conflicts, political movements, social movements, and other circumstances students explore how the country of Spain is defined and known today. Semester(s) Offered: Offered as needed
