Catalog description
This course explores the theories, principles, and practical applications of adventure education. Students examine the historical foundations and core concepts of adventure education, including experiential learning, outdoor leadership, and group dynamics. Through both theoretical study and hands-on activities, participants gain an understanding of how adventure-based learning can be used to foster personal growth, team-building, and leadership skills. The course includes a variety of in-class and out-of-the-classroom experiences to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of adventure education and its application in diverse educational and recreational settings.
