Catalog description

In this course, students learn the basic science needed to understand how spacecraft travel to space, stay in space, and complete the goals of a mission. Students learn the underlying physical concepts behind different systems within a satellite - concepts such as Newton’s laws, energy conservation, orbital motion, propulsion, the electromagnetic spectrum, and optics. This course is designed for students who have an interest in space in general and for those students seeking to learn more about Coastal Carolina’s space program.
