Prerequisite(s): PHIL 102 , PHIL 311 , and PHIL 355 This course combines the academic study of leadership ethics with an experiential component of shadowing a business, academic, non-profit, or community leader. Students first learn the major theories of leadership, focusing on the ethical aspects of leadership, as well as issues related to psychology, management, and sociology (including race and gender). Leadership roles outside of commercial business, such as advocacy, leadership in non-profits and NGO’s, and social and community leadership are also examined. With this understanding in hand, students then shadow an influential leader of their choice related to their career goals. Semester(s) Offered: Spring
