Catalog description

Topics may include the question of the nature and existence of God, whether humans are free, the nature of time and whether the world is eternal, identity and difference, necessity and possibility, medieval logic, and skepticism about philosophical and scientific knowledge. Significant figures discussed may include Augustine, Boethius, Avicenna, Abelard, Anselm, Averroes, Aquinas, Duns Scotus, and Ockham, as well as the classical background from Aristotle and Plato.
