Catalog description

Sophomore standing or higher, or permission of the instructor This course is a survey of Western philosophical thought from the early Renaissance through Hume. The chief emphasis is on the 17th and 18th Century, including Bacon, Descartes, Spinoza, Leibniz, Hobbes, Locke, Berkeley and Hume. This course may be taken prior to PHIL 300 .
