Catalog description

This course equips students with fundamental skills and knowledge essential for ensuring water safety. Students learn key lifeguarding techniques, including surveillance, emergency response, and effective rescue methods. The course covers topics such as pool safety, CPR, and basic first aid. Through interactive demonstrations and hands-on practice, participants gain confidence in their abilities to respond to aquatic emergencies. No prior experience is necessary, but basic swimming proficiency is required. Students earn Red Cross Certification upon completion of the course. Course is repeatable once for credit.
