Catalog description
This hybrid, activity-directed course focuses on basic movement concepts, wellness components, cultural and global well-being and lifetime movement strategies. This course provides the knowledge and skills to plan, evaluate, and implement a personalized program of wellness and physical activity. Students engage in experiential learning through a variety of community involvement, physical/leisure-style activities and explore topic areas in nutrition, weight and stress management, and disease prevention to enhance value and improve quality of life. Activities include, but not limited to: strength/resistance training activities, walking, hiking, pickleball, and disc golf. Semester(s) Offered: Fall, Spring
