Transcultural Concepts in Nursing Care

Restriction(s): Admission to the nursing major This course is designed to introduce the students to transcultural nursing in health care today. Different cultural health and healing practices will be explored. Students will examine their own cultural health practices and compare these healing practices to other culture groups. Students will examine various ways in which transcultural nursing facilitates nurses’ knowledge and skill in communicating with and caring for people from diverse cultures.
