Introduction to Music Education

Catalog description

Note: (Restricted to music majors in the teacher preparation concentration) This course is designed to serve freshman music education majors by providing students with an overview of the field of music education. Students can assess their career choice and structure their own professional development plan by taking this course at the beginning of the music education sequence. Includes an introduction to teaching techniques for music at all levels (K-12) through observations of school music programs. Semester(s) Offered: Fall
