Marine Science Senior Thesis

Catalog description

A grade of C or better in at least 3 lecture/lab pairs from MSCI 301 and MSCI 301L ; MSCI 302 and MSCI 302L ; MSCI 304 and MSCI 304L ; or MSCI 305 and MSCI 305L or permission of the instructor. A contract must be approved by the instructor and the department chair at the time of registration. Each student plans and executes an original research project with guidance and supervision of a marine science faculty member. Results are presented in written and oral form. Senior thesis is strongly suggested for students intending to pursue graduate studies. No more than six total credit hours of an independent study, internship, and/or directed undergraduate research, and/or senor thesis may be used for major credit.
