Catalog description

This course explores the topic of open-source intelligence (OSINT) in a social, cultural, political, and legal context. It introduces students to the history of OSINT as a field, its development and relevance to intelligence. Essential components of the course include what sources of intelligence collection exist, and how to identify, understand, use, and analyze the intelligence collected from them. Special attention is given to various specific sources of OSINT and the preparation of students to build logical, concise, and informative OSINT briefs, reports, and scholarly materials.
