Restriction(s): Course is restricted to students in the Health Sciences or Nursing majors (or permission of instructor). Prerequisite(s): BIOL 232 and BIOL 232L with a C or better Prereq/Corequisite(s): BIOL 242 and BIOL 242L Introduction to the core concepts and basic principles of microbiology in healthcare. The course relates manifestations of disease, risk factors for disease, and the principles of pathophysiology underlying illness and injury to therapeutic interventions and outcomes.
