Catalog description

A study of the roots and contemporary realities of human rights movements in Latin America. Students examine the origins of human rights crises in deeper social and political structures and analyze how the forces of peace and violence have shaped Latin American society over time. In this seminar students read the relevant literature, interpret sources, and apply this knowledge to contemporary issues. Semester(s) Offered: Fall, Spring, Summer
