Restriction(s): Permission of instructor This faculty-led study abroad course offers students an immersive experience in examining the historical, cultural, and global foundations of health and human performance within an international context. Students explore how diverse cultures have shaped practices in medicine, sport, wellness, healthcare, and human movement. Through guided visits to historically and culturally significant sites, including ancient landmarks, centers of learning, and healthcare environments, students develop a deeper understanding of the international dimensions of health and human performance. Emphasis is on connecting cultural practices and policies to contemporary professional roles, broadening students’ perspectives on careers in health sciences, kinesiology, and related fields.
