HFA 499 is a course designed for students seeking hands-on research in the Humanities and Fine Arts. Students learn advanced research methods, data analysis, and project management while assisting a faculty-mentored research project. They develop practical skills in sourcing, evaluating, and presenting information professionally. This course links classroom learning with real-world applications, preparing students for graduate studies, research, and careers needing strong analytical skills. Enrollment requires instructor permission and depends on available research opportunities. The course can be repeated for up to nine credit hours on the same project.
