Catalog description

This course promotes students’ acquisition of advanced German reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills through engagement with written texts, audio documents, and films related to German culture and history since 1945. Students reflect on differences in attitudes and processes in the US and Germany regarding current social and political issues. Texts that are examined include a short story, novel, online news articles, films, and historical documents. This class is taught entirely in German. Semester(s) Offered: Spring
