Exercise Testing and Prescription for Diverse Populations

Catalog description

A grade of ‘C’ or better in EXSS 350 / EXSS 350L Course covers exercise testing procedures and exercise prescription for a diverse range of populations including children, adolescents, older individuals, and individuals with chronic conditions such as cancer, human immunodeficiency virus, and osteoarthritis. An emphasis is placed on screening individuals for abnormal responses and contraindications to exercise as well as methods for modifying exercise prescriptions based on individual needs.
