Catalog description

The class considers a wide range of workplaces including corporations, government agencies, non-profit organizations, and educational institutions. Course methods approach textual creation from an ethical and rhetorical perspective, considering ways texts interweave the following variables: specialist and general knowledge; information, education and persuasion; public and community relations; and, importantly, citizenship and morality. Students analyze and create texts for both print and digital channels, including internal and external messages, public service announcements, features, and institutional profiles. Semester(s) Offered: Spring
