Restriction(s): Students must be accepted into the professional program for secondary Biology Education, Chemistry Education, English Education, Mathematics Education, Physics Education, or Social Studies Education. Preprofessional students may not enroll in the course. A study of the principles of curriculum development in schools today as it relates to standards-based instruction and assessment. Attention is given to the teacher’s role in understanding curriculum, theory behind curriculum development, and implementation of standards-based curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
