Middle Level Practicum III

Catalog description

Corequisite(s): EDML 425 The final middle level practicum after admission into the middle level education program and prior to the internship semester. Candidates spend a minimum of 50 hours in a public school grades 6-8 classroom. Candidates work closely with their university supervisor and cooperating teacher to assume further responsibility for observation, assessment, planning, and instruction of middle level students. Candidates teach at least two lessons that they created in conjunction with their cooperating teacher, analyze student work, and develop a unit of instruction for one of the content areas.
