Catalog description

This course explores the psychology and practices that promote student success in online learning environments. Students join a social media learning community that is sustained beyond the course, where they share experiences and resources with others as they continuously reflect on the world around them and adapt to various learning modalities. In this course, students engage in activities designed to broaden mutual understanding of technical, ethical, legal, cultural, and security issues of online and hybrid learning and learning with technology. Course assessments include reflections and a final project to evaluate or design an online course. This course is open to all students, and assignments are differentiated to match a student’s area of specialization. Semester(s) Offered: Spring
