Introduction to Sport Communication

Catalog description

Introduces the study of sport from various communication perspectives. Topics may include the sports media complex and sport in relation to mythology; race, gender, ability, and equity; interpersonal relationships; family communication; leadership communication; violence; and crisis communication. Students learn analysis and critique of sport as a cultural space through communication theory and research. Semester(s) Offered: Fall, Spring
