Topics in Chinese Grammar

Catalog description

Students improve their knowledge of the syntax and grammar of Mandarin Chinese through varied and progressive exercises. Topics covered in this course include verb phrases, tense and aspect, clausal word order and movement, active and passive voices. Students are also introduced to current approaches to Chinese grammar and related issues and debates to better understand these topics. Semester(s) Offered: Offered as needed
