Physical Biochemistry Laboratory

Catalog description

Corequisite(s): CHEM 353 This course will focus on experiments that will provide insight into the physical principles of chemistry and how they are applied to tackle important problems in biochemistry, biology and medicine. We will spend time on spectroscopic techniques including UV-VIS, fluorescence and NMR techniques, data collection, data manipulation and scientific writing. We will also familiarize ourselves with software used for theoretical quantum calculations of biological molecules. Semester(s) Offered: Fall
