General Welding for the Hobbyist

Catalog description

This course provides an introduction to welding safety, welding, thermal cutting, use of hand and power tools, and basic fabrication for the “do it yourselfer” or hobbyist. This course will include thermal cutting utilizing oxy-acetylene cutting and plasma arc cutting, welding using SMAWShielded Metal Arc Welding (stick) and GMAW-Gas Metal Arc Welding (mig) processes, and basic joint configuration.
