Catalog description

Prerequisites: Admissions into the Physical Therapist Assistant program and Corequisite enrollment in PTAP 1115, PTAP 1111, and PTAP 1120 courses. Courses must be taken for credit. This course will provide an orientation to physical therapy as a profession, legal aspects of physical therapy practice, the interdisciplinary healthcare team, cultural diversity, communication skills, medical terminology and documentation, introductory aseptic techniques, body mechanics, and safety procedures.
