Algebra-Based Physics I Lecture and Lab

Catalog description

Prerequisite: MATH 1220 An algebra-based treatment of Newtonian mechanics in a combined lecture and lab format. Topics include kinematics and dynamics in one and two dimensions, conservation of energy and momentum, rotational motion, equilibrium, and fluids. The lab component of this course presents a series of laboratory experiments associated with the mate - rial presented in the lecture component. (This course is the first half of a two semester algebra-based introduction to physics.)
