Pre-req: Completion of the Core Curriculum Research & Professional Writing requirement. Examines the process of public policy formation including internal and external influences that may affect policy outcomes. Study of urban public policy including government institutions and the policy-making process; concepts and methods of policy analysis; and decision-making regarding public policies at the local state and national level, specifically as they relate to urban areas. Review of healthcare, welfare, social security, education delivery and other urban policies.
