Devised Performance Workshop

Catalog description

Prerequisite: Junior or Senior standing or permission of instructor. This course will focus on the act of creating devised performance. Over the course of the semester, students will receive different creative invitations to generate material, and will participate as all or some of the following: performer, writer, director, designer. This course will result in a workshop production. Although we will meet during course hours for most of the semester, students will be expected to be present at evening rehearsals the week before the public presentation. Actors, directors, dancers, choreographers, designers, playwrights, dramaturgs, are all encouraged to enroll.
