Field Practicum II

Catalog description

Prerequisites: Core Requirements Met. SWK 390 & SWK 395. Corequisite: SWK 495. Prerequisite or corequisite: SWK 485. Continuation of SWK 390. Students further demonstrate their generalist social work competencies with individuals, families, groups, communities, and organizations in field settings. Upon completion of SWK 490, students must have accumulated a minimum of 420 hours of field education, or 210 hours in SWK 390 and SWK 490, respectively. Students may complete their field practicum at their place of employment if their employment is directly linked to the social work competency areas. An employment-based field proposal (EBP) must be submitted to the Field Coordinator for approval. Course is graded on a Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory basis.
