Advanced Spanish Linguistics

Catalog description

Prerequisite: SPN 315 or permission of the instructor. This course focuses on other areas of linguistics in which the students can apply their already acquired knowledge of phonetics/phonology, morphology, syntax and semantics that they learned in an introductory linguistic course. Students can be exposed to history of the language, dialectology, sociolinguistics, applied linguistics, language acquisition, language maintenance, and other areas of research.
