Catalog description

Prerequisite: Junior standing or above and consent of the chair. This course provides students field experience in sport and entertainment management with a local or regional firm, and the experience of being trained and supervised by an employer. Students should be engaged in at least fourteen hours per week at an approved sports or entertainment management organization which directs the intern in a specific project or experience to support the development of sports/entertainment management professional workforce skills. In addition, the student will gain workforce experiential experiences which will support career goals and interest in the sports/entertainment management field.
