Catalog description

Prerequisites: Must have declared a minor in neuroscience, greater than or equal to GPA 3.0 for each of the two previous semesters, and approval of the CSU neuroscience internship coordinator. The student will engage in a professional internship at an external organization (outside CSU). The host organization will provide training and direct experience in an occupation broadly related to the field of neuroscience and the student’s career interests. Although expectations and duties will vary according to the nature of the internship, the student will play an active role in the organization and their duties will not be strictly observational. Specifics of training, duties, and goals will be established in a written proposal prior to enrolling in the PSY 392 course (see application procedures). Internships may be paid or unpaid, based on the preference/ability of the host organization. Expected work hours are based on the number of credits registered (1 credit hour = 3 hours of work per week).
