Catalog description

The Legal Education and Professionalism (LEAP) course is designed to provide an overview of legal education and the importance of professionalism in the legal profession. The course explores different areas of the law including torts, business law, contract law and criminal law. Emphasis is placed on identifying the various types of law and the types of conflicts they are intended to resolve. The course also provides students with skills involving professionalism and legal ethics. Overall, this course examines the law and the legal system from the perspective of the social sciences.
