Prerequisite: Application for permission to register for PHL 496 must be submitted to, and accepted by, the faculty member with whom the student will be working during the semester prior to the enrollment in the course. Independent study in philosophy. Often this takes the form of an exhaustive research project on a philosophic problem to assist the student in attaining proficiency in independent research. May be repeated for credit.
